Younger Division

Creative Hands / Crafts
Camp Gan Israel’s innovative arts and crafts program incorporates various themes in Jewish life as well as fun and useful projects. Each week is a different them in the Younger Division and art projects are incorporated into those themes.  Campers proudly look back at the craft of their own hands well after the summer is over.  Many of the beautiful artwork fills our hallways so please come check them out throughout the summer!

Play ball!
The Younger Division hires a professional Sports Director to run a very specialized sports program each day geared to younger children.  The children eagerly anticipate what each day brings--new sports games and activities with so much fun and enthusiasm!

CGI on the Go Field trips
K and 1st graders go on weekly trips such as:

Bowling, Legoland, Van Saun Park, Pump It Up to name a few.

Safety is our number one priority.  Camp T-shirts are worn each trip day along with name tags.

Swimming
The Wetter the Better!
For our Ketantanim campers, wading pools are provided at our camp location for cooling off each day. For Pre-K, K and 1st graders, campers are bused to a local swim club where instructional swim is provided 2-3 times a week.  The swim club has two beautiful pools where the children get to splash, cool off and learn the fundamentals of swimming.

Special Programs
Each week, a special entertainer is brought to camp for pure, sheer fun.  From jugglers, magicians to a ventriloquist, the children can't control their laughter and excitement each week.

In addition, professional artists, movement and music teachers provide special instruction in these areas on a weekly basis as well.  There is not a minute that is left unfilled in Camp Gan Israel!
